I started working on a couple posts I’ve had on the back burner when I realized I needed to add another feature to K & M. A spoiler warning.
I built this site so that my friends and I could share stories and ideas about the games we are playing. The very nature of this invites spoilers. I want to be able to talk specifics, not generalities all the time. However, I also don’t want to ruin any games for anyone
Personally, I try to avoid any talk of the specifics of games I am interested in. For example,Weekend Confirmed had a segment about Homefront the Friday before it came out that I skipped over. I don’t want anyone’s opinions to taint mine before I get into a game.
And it’s not just a matter of blatant spoilers that can ruin things for me. Sometimes just mentioning there is a twist in the story makes me approach a game differently than I would have otherwise. So I would rather not know anything.
So this afternoon I added a small feature to K & M to hopefully keep from spoiling things for others. I added a "Spoilers" checkbox to the blog post screen. This way posts can be marked as containing spoilers. If this box is checked, the full post will only be shown on the single post page, not in any lists. And the link to that page will be marked with "Spoilers Ahead".
